What is a Fixed Term Confirmation Letter?

When you purchase a Fixed Term product, a Confirmation letter is issued and will contain details of the purchase including Purchase Value, Account Number, Registration Date and Registered Name of Holders.  

From May 2024 onwards, the design and format of Fixed Term Confirmation letter was updated for all Fixed Term purchases. The letter was updated to A4 format and is printed on recycled paper. The new version contains the same information as the previous version of the Registration document.

What does the new Fixed Term Confirmation look like? 

The new version Fixed Term Confirmation is an A4 letter printed on recycled paper. The Fixed Term product details (Account Number, Investment value & date) are displayed in the middle of the letter.

Why was the design of the Fixed Term Confirmation changed? 

State Savings opted to update the Confirmation letter to an A4 format to enhance the display of investment details and chose to use recycled paper. 

What do I do with the new Fixed Term Confirmation? 

Customers are not required to return the Fixed Term Confirmation letter when repayment or reinvestment is requested however customers are advised to retain a record of the product details should you need to contact us in the future.

Can Fixed Term Confirmation Letters be replaced if misplaced? 

If you have lost your Fixed Term Confirmation letter and wish to retrieve details of your Fixed Term product please write to: State Savings, GPO, FREEPOST, Dublin 1, D01 F592. Please list any variations on names and addresses including any previous addresses that may be relevant.  

As you are not required to return the Fixed Term Confirmation letter when requesting a repayment or reinvestment, it will not be necessary to issue a replacement Confirmation letter however we will issue a response letter containing your Fixed Term Product details to your registered address.
